The Portage County General Health District would like to inform the JR/SR High School students and families of vaccine recommendations. There is a clinic offered at the JR/SR High School on May 3 from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM. Forms must be filled out to schedule a time. Forms are available in the main office...

If you weren't already aware, the school nures at the JR/SR High, Beth Green, posts a school health newsletter each month. They can be found under the "nurse's station" link on the JR/SR High pages. This is provided by Akron Children's Hospital and is a valuable resource for our families and community. Be sure to check it out each month!

Wednesday, March 28: DARE Graduation for 5th grade at 12:00 PM in HS Gym

2017 State Board of Education Momentum Award 2017 Momentum Award

Congratulations to the Junior High for earning the 2017 Momentum Award for the second year in a row! The Momentum Award is presented by the State Board of Education and recognizes schools for exceeding expectations in student growth for the year. Schools must earn straight A’s on all Value-Added measures on the report card. The school or district must have at least two Value-Added subgroups of students, which includes gifted, lowest 20% in achievement, and students with disabilities. We are proud of our students and teachers for all of their hard work and success in the classroom!
