September is designated as Attendance Awareness Month to help educate families on the importance of school attendance. A student can be considered chronically absent if he/she misses as few as two days of school a month! According to attendanceworks.org, students should miss no more than 9 days of school each year in order to stay engaged and on track for graduation. The links below are free resources for you to explore and discuss with your student(s). If you feel that you need additional support with attendance and getting your student(s) to school, please don't hesitate to contact the building principal. Thank you for all of your support!
