My name is Sherri Harrah and I have been a 6th grade Intervention Specialist in Windham since 1995.  I am currently teaching Literacy and am co-teaching math, science and social studies.  I graduated from Kent State University with a degree in Special Education.  I taught in Hawaii for 2 years where I specialized in autism before moving back to the area.  This is my 23rd year teaching.

I am the Junior High Student Council Advisor and a member of the Junior High Technology Team.  I live in Newton Falls with my husband, my 18 year old son and 15 year old daughter.

Please contact me through my school email :  sharrah@windham-schools.org if you have any concerns or questions.  You can also reach me from 7:20-7:30 am or 2:50-3:00 pm at 330-326-2711.

I currently have a student teacher, Mr. Divens, from Kent State University.  He will be in our classroom until the middle of December.  I have attached his introduction letter below.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Ryan Divens and I am Mrs. Harrah’s

student teacher this semester. I go to Kent State University and will be graduating this winter as an Intervention Specialist. Before college, I attended Howland schools my whole life. I really enjoy sports, whether it is watching or playing. I have played soccer, basketball and baseball through my school-age years. The one thing I enjoy doing most in my free time is golfing. My favorite subject in school would have to be Math (other than gym!).

I have been in the classroom for about two weeks now and I’ll be here until mid December. I met all of the students and have been working with them in small groups. I look forward to learning about each of the students through my time here and helping them become better learners as well as individuals. Eventually, I will be teaching lessons to the class and will be a big part of the teacher process. I have learned a lot so far in my short time here and look forward to continue learning and gaining experience in this field. Thank you for welcoming me into the Windham family! If you have any questions or would like to get to know me more, feel free to contact me. My email is: rdivens@kent.edu
