Students Representing Windham at Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies

Students Representing Windham at Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies

Student representatives attended two ribbon cutting ceremonies, one in Ravenna and another in Canfield, on Thursday, August 4th. The ceremony held in Ravenna was at the Camp Ravenna Joint Training Center to celebrate the opening of their new facilities. These facilities include a fire and maneuver range where Army units in the Midwest can train for combat. There were three ceremonies total at Camp Ravenna: groundbreaking for the Modified Record Fire Range, the 1st shot at the Fire and Maneuver Range, and a ribbon cutting for the water and sewer project. Social Studies teacher, Stephanie Parish-Smith, accompanied the students to the ceremony.

The second ribbon cutting ceremony took place at the grand opening of the Mahoning County Educational Service Center at their new location in Canfield. Students from 21 districts attended this event along with local officials and community members. The students participated in the ceremony as they cut their own ribbon to celebrate the new building. This state-of-the-art building is over 35,000 square feet where it will provide teachers and administrators with professional development and other services to continue providing students with high quality education.

Thank you to the students who represented our district and attended these events! #windhamfamily
