History Day!

History Day is becoming Windham’s own special holiday as the community and students prepare for the event all year. The second annual History Day was held on Tuesday, March 8th in the junior high gymnasium. This year’s theme was, “Exploration, Encounter, Exchange in History." Students researched various topics such as, Al Capone and Prohibition, B& O Railroad, Marilyn Monroe, and WWI Brides. There are 23  projects that will advance to Youngstown State University on Saturday, April 2nd.  Students commented that they  enjoyed seeing all of the community members coming out to support their projects and talking to all of the guests about their project. A very special thanks to those staff members who helped prepare our students: Ms. Parish, Mr. Burns, Ms. Brkich, Mrs. Gutherie, and Mrs. Balchick.  This was another great way to celebrate our students. We are extremely proud of our students and their hard work and dedication to this day!
