In Ohio your child can attend any school in your district (called intradistrict choice). The state also has an open-enrollment policy that allows students in low-performing schools, as designated by the state, to attend other schools in their district. And districts must enact a resolution determining whether they will admit nonresidential students to their schools (interdistrict choice). Ohio offers private-school-tuition scholarships to students in Cleveland and autistic children statewide. The statewide EdChoice Scholarship Program allows children who attend low-performing public schools to transfer to private schools.
