Congratulations to Kathy Gutherie and Baxter Jones who were inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame. Gutherie is an honorary member for her countless hours of volunteer work she has given to athletics. She has worked in Windham for 43 years. Gutherie never says "no" when it comes to helping the Bomber. Baxter Jones, who passed away on January 28, 2018, was inducted for his basketball athletic career. His nephew, Carlos Jones, accepted the award on his behalf. Over the course of Baxter's career, he earned every honor a player could be given on the league at both the district and state level. He was 6 foot 3 inches tall and an explosive rebounder, precision shooter, and an unselfish teammate. Baxter will always be remembered for his positive personality and his athletic legacy. Thank you to both individuals for their dedication to Windham!
